The start of a new life

It's been a while since i last posted.

What's happened since the last post:
- HSC. exams are not worth mentioning as post-HSC is hardly a time to be thinking of how we did in exams. during that period went on an obsessive search for fellow 3u math competitors. felt like i did ok overall, so we shall see how the results come out.

- Got an MSI netbook :D thanks to joseph's sweet hookups from his dad.

MSI Wind U100 plus for only 400 bucks !! pretty awesome deal. and thanks to the government, we get half of that back :P so really i'm just paying 200 bucks for this netbook. Currently typing on it, and its great. Bluetooth all my phone pictures over to here for my blog :P and just enabled my wireless internet again, so i can finally type here lying on my bed.

hey i thought there'd be much more that went on during this period, but turns out it was just all study.

anyways i've been waiting for this moment for a long time and here were a couple of things i had planned out earlier:
- Get a bike and go riding along birkenhead point to rozelle track
- Go taste the wagyu burger in the city
- Go get a therapeutic massage
- Go basketball
- Go meet up with old friends
- Go gym
- Go squash
- Go enter table tennis competitions
- Go start a tutoring job
- Go get my formal stuff
- Go prepare how to cook some food just in case for schoolies
- Go get new clothes
- Go get a pair of sunglasses
- Go get my Ps
- Go crash peoples places and play
- Go sleepover

and there's more which i currently can not think of. and it'd be tl;dr
so far today, went on a drive with my dad to practise for my Ps test, so we went on a route out to five dock-rozelle-abbotsford-russell lea . most northern western people wouldn't have a clue where these places are. but its just between my place and the city with lots of water front views. doing my Ps test on the 11th, so thought it'd be good if i got used to the roads near the five dock RTA place.

on the way we passed this shop which my dad mentioned had really long queues at night. as i was driving past on the shop, it said " best fish and chips in the universe ". so we stopped by to try it out

apparently this shop has won best fish and chip shop for 17 years in a row. and the shop looked pretty good itself. on one side they sold raw seafood stuff, and on the other side was the cooked stuff

10-50 for fish and chips, a bit over price compared to the homebush 5-80 which included a drink. but it was ok cause it was supposedly the best fish and chips in the universe. started eating it, and it was ok, but nothing real special. the batter was real crispy and i'd be very happy to eat that if i had that lunch very regularly.

it was my mum's birthday today as well so we went to one of the ashfield's chinese restaurants to eat. also a very happy birthday to eddy if you happen to read this in hong kong :) ashfield restaurants make pretty nice chinese food for a really cheap price. you could get full on 10 bucks a person. and the food is quality stuff. so if you wanna give it a try i'll gladly take you :P i still havent forgotten my promise to shout you guys in the future cause we're all schoolmates.

afterwards we went to kmart to pick up a bike. got a really good helmet for 3 bucks as well xD . kmart always screws up prices on some stuff. when i scanned the helmet to check the price i couldnt believe it. and when i went to ask the checkout girl she couldnt believe it either. but i got it for 3 bucks anyway :P
went home and assembled the bike. really looking forward to riding it and getting fit.

also hooked myself onto a tutoring job for 30 bucks an hour. well the person is still considering whether or not to go to dr du or me xD i told her if she brought a friend i'd do it for 20 bucks an hour
also went to visit talent 100 to ask about tutoring there. i need to make a CV which i've never done before. i was expecting talent 100 to be intuition like, but seems like the business is totally student run. the guy there was probably 21.

got a few things coming up, really looking forward to schoolies and getting active and going places. also reading looking forward to driving by myself if i do pass my Ps. i see forums are dead
but it'd be pretty cool if the grade went and did something together. i remember the year 10/11 grade picnic kinda failed, but it was still really fun. i hope there's plenty more time to do things
dad's also been bugging me about going to do an interview training course. so i dunno if i will. i was telling kelly how i really didnt like planned responses for that kinda thing. kinda ironic cause it was the day before english.
so i guess we'll see

for now that is all
enjoy your holidays :P
let loose

  3. oh man K mart lol!

I'll tell you a retail secret... zzz even though I shouldnt. Any checkout can technically reduce an item by up to just-under half price, if that makes sense.

i.e. as a checkout operator I could over ride a $40 item and type it $20.05 and still have it accepted without me needing to get permissionfrom my supervisor. Anything 50%+ you need a supervisor p/w.

OF COURSE I never actually tried this cause I'm honest but I wonder if people actually do and I'm sure they'd get suspicous if everythings reduced. Meep

    I didn't say this.
